Prostatitis

Prostatitis refers to prostate inflammation and/or infection, which can be brief or long-lasting, mild or severe, easy or difficult to treat. Symptoms can include frequent, urgent and/or painful urination, erectile problems, other urinary difficulties, or pain during ejaculation. Prostate enlargement, called benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH) is often the result of prostatitis.

Prostatitis is rampant in the US, affecting at least 80% of American men of all sexually active ages according to data accumulated in years of studies by Urologists. Most of the prostatitis is asymtomatic, i.e. without major symptoms, however, there is also the attention grabbing variety, usually termed acute prostatitis, with very painful symptoms in the penis/groin area, nocturia, urgent urination, blocked urination, dribble, weak erections, etc..

The asymptomatic variety is neither being diagnosed or treated by most Urologists, yet prostatitis is, in most views, a precursor to prostate cancer. It is hard to find a Urologist who tests for prostatitis, unless there are symptoms, and then usually only by urine test, which is unreliable, at best.

Accurate diagnosis of prostatitis is best achieved by the old fashioned milking of the prostate and examination/culturing of the fluid under a high quality binocular microscope, called an EPS test, now hardly done by Urologists. Instead symptoms are treated by intensive and long courses of antibiotics until the symptoms are masked or in 60-70% of the cases, just given up, to be "lived with, it's all in your head". The symptoms are now much worse, with a higher white cell count, i.e. worse infection, with a weaker immune system, increased candida, worse symptoms as a result of the antibiotics.

Urology by it’s own statistics is able to relieve the symptoms in only 30-40% of treated cases. Other estimates place relief at 10%, leaving 60-90% of those men with varying levels of prostatitis symptoms without help. Additionally, data shows that the common antibiotic treatments only mask the symptoms, while the white cell count actually rises, indicating that the prostatitis is actually worse, becoming a process of slowly turning into a cancerous prostate, with none or minor symptoms. Data shows that 80% of men have chronic, lingering, symptomless prostatitis, which will likely become cancerous over time. For real help with prostatitis, see "Prostatitis-the 60 day Cure" .

The ability to diagnose and treat prostatitis adds a major complimentary dimension to the alternative prevention and treatment of prostate cancer. By treating the prostatitis, lower PSAs result, preventing and healing prostate cancer.

Urinary symptoms disappear when the prostatitis is cured and erectile function returns, typical of a Happy, Healthy prostate that is unlikely to become cancerous if the program in Prostate Health in 90 Days Without Drugs or Surgery is followed.

My own approach is that toxins weaken and clog the prostate, making it more susceptible to infection, so cleansing the toxins, including dental and parasites, prostate massage, careful nutrition, and pH balancing are the ultimate solution. Many men have reported that all prostatitis/BPH symptoms disappeared after a single Ultimate fast. Getting the toxins out, clearly allows the above supplements to work much more powerfully, see "Prostatitis-the 60 day Cure"
