The germ carrier most responsible for the spread of disease is the human hand, especially the undersides of the fingernails. Even "clean" hands are filled with thousands of microscopic germs that sap the immune system's energy and can make us sick.
If germs entering the body simply did their damage, that would be serious enough. But the unwittingly do far more. In order to fight off invaders, the body sends the immune system into action, sapping proteins such as albumin that could be at work in other parts of the body. If the level of albumin in your blood drops, your risk of contracting a serious -- possibly deadly -- disease shoots way up.
Albumin has been described as a "portable liver" because the liver is the body's chief mechanism for disarming toxins and other dangerous substances, and because albumin, which is made in the liver, does the same throughout the body. Albumin plays an indispensible role in maintaining the delicate chemical balance of the nourishing fluids that surround and support the trillions of cells in the human body. If the fluids become polluted, the cells cannot help but fall ill, and disease will sweep through the body. Albumin ensures that bodily fluids are clean, filled with nutrients, and properly balanced. And when you're filled with health-giving fluid, you cannot help but be healthy.
The only way to keep albumin levels high is to stay healthy, and good hygiene can lower the risk of infection and drain on albumin levels. In addition to lowering the risk of cancer, good hygiene can help prevent or improve acne, allergies and asthma, athlete's foot, arthritis, candida, colds and flus, diabetes, measles, and more.
The simple solution is regular washing of your hands (particularly under the fingernails) and face -- at least five times a day is recommended. Careful scrubbing with soap and water can remove up to 90% of germs from the body.
The best cleansing system I've found -- one that really gets rid of germs under the fingernails, in the nose, eyes, and elsewhere -- is the High-Performance Hygiene line of products, developed by Dr. Kenneth Seaton.
